Aspen’s Big Girl Bed: the Endy Petit Collection

All

There are certain parenting milestones that feel bigger than they look on paper — and transitioning to a “big girl bed” is definitely one of them.

Last week, our Endy Petit package arrived, and just like that, Aspen officially graduated from toddler bed life. What could have felt like a huge transition ended up being surprisingly simple — and honestly, really exciting for all of us.

Here’s our honest experience with the Endy Petit mattress, bed frame, and bedding so far.

First Impressions: Simple Setup, Zero Stress

The delivery process was seamless, and I was genuinely impressed with how straightforward everything was to set up. I assembled the bed myself without any issues, and the mattress expanded beautifully once unboxed.

As a parent, I appreciated how uncomplicated the process was. No complicated instructions, no stressful assembly, no drawn-out transition period. Just a smooth setup that made the whole milestone feel calm instead of overwhelming.

By the time Aspen got home from daycare, her new room was ready.

And she was thrilled.

A Big Girl Bed

Aspen immediately loved that her bed was taller — she keeps saying it “looks like mom and dad’s.” There’s something about that subtle detail that made the transition feel empowering for her instead of intimidating.

She proudly told all her friends at daycare about her new bed the very next day.

And thanks to a sweet heart pillow we added, she now calls it her “Valentine’s bed,” which might be my favourite part of this whole experience.

It feels cozy, grown-up, and special — without losing that sense of comfort and security she still needs at four.

The First Night

Whenever you change something in a bedtime routine, you never quite know how it’s going to go.

But we intentionally kept everything else the same:

  • Same books

  • Same wind-down routine

  • Same lights-out timing

The only change? The bed itself.

And honestly, the transition has been incredibly straightforward. She slept great the very first night and has continued to settle in beautifully.

For us, that reinforced something we really believe: when kids feel comfortable and secure, everything else falls into place.

Why We Chose Endy Petit

Good sleep is something we genuinely value in our home. With busy days filled with forest school, gymnastics, and weekends in the mountains for snowboard lessons, rest really matters.

The Endy Petit mattress is supportive yet cozy — designed for growing bodies, which was important to us. It feels substantial and well-made, without being too firm or too soft. The size is perfect for kids while still feeling roomy enough to grow into.

The Petit sheets and comforter are also incredibly cozy and feel like great quality. They wash well, feel durable, and add that extra layer of comfort that makes a new bed feel inviting instead of unfamiliar.

What We Loved Most

Here’s what stood out to us:

  • Simple, stress-free setup

  • Supportive and comfortable mattress

  • Kid-sized proportions that still feel “grown up”

Most importantly, Aspen feels proud of her new space.

And that makes all the difference.

Why Good Sleep Matters in Our House

One of the things we talked about in our reels — and something we genuinely believe — is that great days start with great sleep.

Aspen is incredibly active. She loves to hike, she’s in gymnastics, attends forest school, and we spend weekends on the mountain for snowboard lessons. Add in swim lessons and busy four-year-old energy, and her little body works hard.

With that kind of schedule, proper rest isn’t optional — it’s essential.

Sleep is when growing bodies recover. It’s when muscles reset, minds recharge, and energy stores rebuild. For kids who move as much as Aspen does, good sleep sets the tone for everything that follows.

When she sleeps well, mornings feel smoother. She wakes up rested, happy, and ready to move. There’s less friction, more focus, and a noticeable difference in her energy levels throughout the day.

That’s ultimately why choosing the right mattress felt important to us.

It’s not just about a “big girl bed.”

It’s about supporting her lifestyle.

Moving into a big girl bed felt like a big step — but with Endy, it didn’t feel complicated.

The setup was easy, the transition was smooth, and Aspen is genuinely excited about her new room. For us, that combination of quality sleep, simple design, and an uncomplicated experience made this milestone feel calm and positive.

Overall, we’re really happy with our new Endy Petit setup. The transition has been smooth, the quality feels excellent, and most importantly — Aspen is sleeping well.

And for a busy, adventure-loving four-year-old, that makes all the difference.

Because whether it’s forest school, gymnastics, swimming, or snowboard days in the mountains, great sleep is what fuels it all.
